He was preceded in death by his parents Martha and Donald Book; son-in-law Gerald Patterson.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law Chuck and Julie Book of Memphis, TN; sons and daughters-in-law Layne and Heather Book of Avery,TX; Lorne and Kymberly of Dallas,TX; daughter and son-in-law Lindsey and James Cowley of New Boston,TX; daughter Corrine Patterson of Dallas,TX; seven grandchildren.
