Mrs. Green was always a special lady to me... she was in labor at the same time as my mother at Wadley on June 11, 1959, and Heidi and I share the same birthday... after moving from Texarkana, we moved back, and I had Mrs Green as one of my Fifth Grade teachers at Spring Lake Park.... if I am not mistaken, I remember learning 'Silent Night' in German from Mrs Green... apropos during this Christmas season...

Fast forward forty-odd years and I was honored to care for Mrs Green as an Emergency Nurse at Wadley in the early 2010's, when she was still playing golf daily in her 90's... I was so proud to tell my colleagues of my connection with Mrs Green and Heidi... such a special family...

I am further honored to have had the opportunity to have recently met Heidi's brothers and sister-in-law... such a wonderful family.... I hope ya'll ( in our local vernacular) find comfort in knowing that your mother in so at peace and reunited with your father... and please know that my thoughts and prayers for comfort are with ya'll...

Ruth touched many lives. Although I knew her for a short time, she will always be in my heart. She was an exceptional person, and I am so glad that I was able to know her and to count her as a friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Heidi and family.

Susanne
