

The fruitful and beautiful life of Shirley Ann Dunn Wilson of Foreman, Arkansas completed its course on July 27,2026 in Dallas Texas. Shirley was born to Lucille Haywood Dunn and Willam Dunn on September 13, 1950. Shirley attended Foreman High School and graduated from Classen High School, Oklahoma City, OK in 1969. Shirley worked for Western Electric for several years in which she also served as a union steward. She then attended nursing school and maintained an active nursing license. She graduated from Oklahoma Christian College and Bright Divinity College. In 1983 she was called to the ministry and served as Youth Pastor at Kelly Avenue Christian Church, Oklahoma City, OK. She moved to Arlington, Texas in 1988 and moved her membership to First Christian Church, Desoto Texas. She continued her life of service with the church and with children. She opened “Nana’s Daycare”, where she touched the lives of many children. Some of whom still refer to her as “Nana” or “Mama Shirley”. Shirley became a Foster Mom and cared for over twenty children during this time. She returned home to Foreman, AR in 2020 and retired from nursing in 2023.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and William Dunn, ex-husband Charles Wilson as well as four brothers and six sisters. She is survived by her children three daughters; Lucinda Pugh (Vernon), Nicole Allen (James), Adrianna Wilson, one son; Reyon Wilson, three grandchildren; Karrington Pugh, Lukas Allen, and Taveyon Wilson, three sisters; Cleola Hawkins of Austin, TX, Ida Bell of Temecula, CA, and Anna Dunn of Foreman, AR. She leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who will carry forward her memory with love and gratitude.
Though we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the extraordinary life she lived and the love she shared. Shirley’s spirit will remain with us always, a guiding light and a source of comfort, laughter, and inspiration for generations to come.
Visitation will take place at East Funeral Home, 602 Olive , Texarkana, Texas, on August 14, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
A Funeral Service will be held at East Memorial Chapel, 602 Olive, Texarkana, Texas, on August 15, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Burial will be at Piney Grove Cemetery in Foreman, Arkansas, on August 15, 2026.
