Thomas Henry (Tom) Collins (69) passed way May 11, 2012, at Texarkana Nursing Center, Texarkana, TX. He was born August 10, 1942, in Texarkana, Arkansas, the son of Murray Collins and Susie Janette Lassiter Collins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Wanda, his father and mother and his brother, William Murray (Bill) Collins. Survivors include his sister, Dorothy Jo Collins Hammack, and her children, Alan Hammack and Jan Hammack Alvarado; Bill's children, Amy and Melissa.
Tom grew up in Pleasant Grove and went to school in the late 1940s and early 1950s at the old Pleasant Grove School. He and his mother lived in Irving, TX for quite a few years and then moved to the Redwater area in the 1970s.
A memorial service was held with the family in San Antonio and burial will be at Moores Chapel/Northwood Cemetery at a later date.
