Vesta Lou Jeter Dossey, age 92, passed away January 6, 2020, in Ashdown, AR. She was born in Texarkana, AR on October 17, 1927, to Charles H. and Vera Blanchett Jeter.

She was a resident of Texarkana until 1983 when she and her husband moved to Yarborough Landing on Millwood Lake to live out their retirement years. She was a member of the Millwood Baptist Church in Ashdown, AR.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Herman Dossey; her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Julianne Jeter; her son-in-law, Mike Beltrani, Sr.; one grandson, Mike Beltrani, Jr. and one granddaughter, Teresa Beltrani.

Mrs. Dossey is survived by three children: daughter, Brenda Dossey Beltrani; sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Darla Dossey, and Jack and Judy Dossey; 5 grandchildren and spouses, Shane Dossey and Lindy, Niki Harvey and Robbie, Eric Dossey, Scott Dossey and Laura and Phillip Dossey and Ashley; nieces, Beva and Ric Masters and Lisa Jeter; 15 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Aunt Lou was full of southern charm and as sharp as they come! I always ended every conversation with "I love you" and she would reply "I love you more." Thinking of her makes me smile!
