Due to how far away we live I do not get to see Matt, Emily, and their children as much as I would like. I’ve known Matt since he was 10 and I’ve watched him grow from a high energy sweet little boy to a responsible mature loving husband and father. He has such a sweet soul and I can already see how his faith is going to allow him to endure this road. During our last Whatley family vacation I was able to watch them both as they soaked up all those special memory making moments with their children. I remember thinking to myself as I watched Emily smile and hold Wade, she is such a wonderful mother and the love she has for her children was just pouring out of her. I don’t know her well but I walked away from that vacation with that impressed on my mind, those children are so lucky to have two great parents. As I’ve watched them this weekend I know they will come out stronger on the other side of this tragedy. Their love for each other is so obvious. I will be praying for your family daily that you can feel Jesus wrap you in His arms, comfort you, and carry you through this. I love you both❤️

Wade, my little buddy, I love you and miss you so dearly. I wish I could turn back time but the lord has called you back to him for a purpose. I know you are up there with grandma right now eating, smiling, laughing and singing with all your heart. Just know that mommy and daddy will be right there with you when the lord calls us back to him. I love you little buddy with all my heart and soul 💙.

Things like this are the times we say “That will never happen to me.” Or “ That is horrible, I’m glad it wasn’t my baby.” All I can say is, I considered myself that person. “There’s just NO way that could happen! In Jesus Name!” Well... It can very easily happen. All it takes is a fan blowing on ur baby to comfort them while they sleep. So simple. Love your babies, tell them everyday. Actions do speak loader than words- but we as humans need the words too. I loved this baby boy as much as I humanly could for those 22 months and the 9 months me and him shared together. Wade you are my baby boy, my Wade Owen, my Bubbies, my Pumpkin, my Chunky Monkey, and my EVERYTHING. We will meet again sweetie, I promise❤️
