

Preceded in death by his first wife, Corinne Watson DeLoach November 7, 1984.
He is survived by his son, William Thomas DeLoach, Jr., and wife, Ann of Lubbock, TX; daughter, Mary E. DeLoach Wischkaemper and husband Mike, of Hobbs, NM; granddaughters, Debra Hise and husband, Vernon of Plains, TX, Dondra and Dustin Driskill of Lubbock, TX, Becky Koehler, Kay Shephard and husband, Johnny; grandson, Kyle DeLoach of Lubbock, TX;
great grandchildren , Brandon and Lauren Hise and Chay and Case Driskill, Lubbock, TX, Saban Koehler and Collin Shephard.
Married Christine Walker in 1985 and she preceded in him in death in 2003.
He is also survived by step daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Steve Holland of Texarkana, TX
and Sue and Jim Foster of Texarkana, AR; granddaughters, Linda Mitcham and husband Terry and Beth Wheat and husband, Allen all of Texarkana, TX; grandsons, Mark and Davey Holland.
He was the son of Charles Lee and Winnie Thomas DeLoach. He is survived by his sisters,
Lina Lee James of Texarkana, TX and Dorothy Council of Cleveland, OH.
He was preceded in death by his brothers , George and James DeLoach and sister, Gaynelle Whitley.
He was a member of Walnut Church of Christ in Texarkana, TX and Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock, TX. He was a retired from Texas Pacific Railroad after 22 years and worked for TISD where he was director of maintenance for 25 years.
He was active in church functions in Texarkana and Lubbock where he participated in weekly services, fellowships, helped with mail outs, and cooked for the high school students for their power lunch. He also enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, trot lining for catfish, fast pitch softball, which he played until he was 80 years old in the Old Timers Game. He also played dominoes, 42, spades, and duplicate bridge. He volunteered for Bayless Elementary Rockin Readers Program in Lubbock, TX. He carefully selected and mailed cards to family and friends on significant occasions. He also made time to take in as many baseball games as possible.
Services will be Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 10 a.m. at East Memorial Chapel on Moores Lane, Texarkana, TX with Ron Ledgerwood of Lubbock, TX and Larry Martin of Texarkana, TX officiating. Services are under the direction of East Funeral Home - Moores Lane.
The family will have a private burial service in East Memorial Gardens after the service .
There will be an open visitation Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Lubbock Christian University - DeLoach Scholarship; Lubbock Children's Home; and New Mexico Christian Children's Home, Portales, NM.
He was a Christian man who loved God and exemplified his Christian faith in all
his activities. Self sufficient until May 7, 2010. Honest, dependable, hard working,
cared for family and friends. His advice to family "show up for work every day and
work all day to do your best" and you will be successful.
