Wyatt Lee Yates

Wyatt was born March 6th, 2021 in Texarkana, Texas to Steven Yates and Ashley Griggs.

He was in Pre-K at Redwater Elementary School.

Wyatt loved sea creatures, he could spend hours talking about the ocean and everything in it. He loved the show Bluey and eating pizza and singing the alphabet using sea creatures as the letters. He was hopping around all the time, jumping for joy. He was a joyful and curious little boy who brought laughter and warmth everywhere he went.

Survivors include his mom and dad Ashley June Griggs and Steven Lee Yates.

Also left to cherish his memory are his grandparents; Kyle and Chrissy Yates and a grandmother Jacque Griggs, Aunt Jasmine Allen and uncle Randy Griggs, aunt Cassie Yates and uncle Corey Yates ; Godparents Lee and Stacey Walker.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm , Saturday July 19th, 2025 at East Funeral Home-Moores Lane Chapel with Rev. Bryan Bixler officiating.

Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on the day of the service at East Funeral Home.
