Adrianne Lee Gerlach, 22 years old, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away on September 3, 2017, of hydrocephalus. She was born in Wheat Ridge, Colorado on October 6, 1994. Adrianne graduated from The Woodlands High School and attended Lone Star College. She was pursuing a degree in fine arts and worked as a nursing assistant. She enjoyed cooking and caring for the elderly.
Adrianne was an incredibly talented western and wildlife artist and published contributor to Inkling Magazine. A large group of her drawings was auctioned off in Colorado, and the funds went to an organization helping abused animals. She loved animals, especially horses, and rode hunter/jumper in Texas and Colorado. Her love of animals was also reflected through her volunteer work with numerous organizations, including Operation Pets Alive, Montgomery County Animal Shelter, Panther Creek Inspiration Ranch, and Foothills Animal Shelter.
In addition, Adrianne supported several non-profit organizations, including Hope Beyond Bridges, Woodlands Waterway Art Festival, Conroe Art League, and Woodlands Art League. She is survived by her parents, Susan Lane Gerlach and William Joseph Gerlach, and her brother, Matthew Lane Gerlach, along with grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on her father's side.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at The Woodlands United Methodist Church – Robb Chapel, 2200 Lake Woodlands Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77380, with a reception immediately following in the Jones Library.
