

When Alvis entered Heaven on September 24, 2020; He was welcomed by his Lord and Savior. We are sure he heard, “welcome home my good and faithful servant!” His life was a life well lived. It was defined by a kind, loving, gentle spirit extended to all. He shall be missed.
Alvis passed away at home in Spring, TX after a long battle with cancer and diabetes. He was born in Wellington, TX on January 23, 1942 to Cecil and Lela Mae Thompson, but was raised in and around Modesto and Mariposa, CA.
Alvis served 3 years in the Army with 814 Engineer Company, and was stationed in Germany as a mechanic. He was employed 30 years with General Electric as a nuclear technician.
He is survived by his wife Corena, his children, TJ and Kim Thompson, Teague, TX, Monte and Pam Thompson, Morgan Hill, CA, Cindy St. Pierre, Fairfield, TX, Edward T and Cyndi Ramon, Mustang, OK, Tony Ramon, Pilot Point, TX, Becky Ramon, Dekalb, TX, Scott and Nicole Cruz, Spring, TX; brother, Allen Thompson, Sun City West, AZ, Jim and Ruth Daniel, Las Vegas, NV, a special daughter-in-law Toni Thompson, Spring, TX, and a number of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Alvis is proceeded in death by his parents Cecil E. and Lela Mae Thompson, and his twin brother, Elvis C. Thompson.
