Amel Maximose James, a much beloved mother and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 27 in The Woodlands, Texas. Amel was born in Alexandria, Egypt on November 12, 1960 and immigrated to the United States at the age of twelve. Amel was raised in Crown Point, IN and attended Ball State University in Muncie, IN where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. She relocated to Houston in 1982 and began working for Coopers & Lybrand where she earned her license as a Certified Public Accountant. Amel continued working for a number of years in both the public and private accounting fields until dedicating her life to raising her children and being a homemaker. Amel was preceded in death by her mother, Hosnea Maximose. She is survived by her loving children, Alexandria and Max, and by her father Lotfy Maximose. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A memorial visitation celebrating her life will be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. on Saturday, December 3, at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home.
