To the Naylor Family:  I first met you all many years ago at a crawfish boil in Spring, TX hosted by Henry (your cousin) and Mary Gerchow Calongne (my sister). Every time I saw Ann she reminded me of Southern graciousness and politeness. What a great couple Ann and Cliff made.  I am so sorry to hear about her recent passing and I want you to know that Ann and all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.  May GOD bless Ann and her wonderful family.

To my sweet incredible mom.  You will never know how much your love, attention, patience and warmth have helped me through the years.  I will treasure all those vacations we took when we were just children and then again when I was single all those years.  You and dad took me under your wing and let me enjoy quality time with you both.  I have so many fond memories of us together in Canada.  Sharing 911 in Vancouver is something I will never forget.  Your ability to anticipate our needs was amazing.  I am so blessed to be part of this amazing family.  Thank you for your legacy and most importly for the love you shared with all of us.  Living only minutes away from you was a dream come true for me.  I am so blessed that Jacob will never forget his sweet Gaba.  Having you so close made life special.  You are my hero and I will try to honor you life daily.

Carey: I am so glad that your mom gave me you! She was so blessed to have five wonderful children and such a loving husband. My heart knows the pain of your loss, but I hope you find comfort in knowing that you will see her again some day. Every tear shed is in honor of your wonderful mother. Eighty plus years of living and loving.  What a wonderful use of the gift of life given to her by Our Lord.  I can only imagine the reception that was awaiting her in heaven.  I think nothing pleases Our Lord more than a life lived to the fullest, loving those given to us by Him.   She raised 5 kids!!! That alone is a miracle.  I am thinking of ya'll.

Carey:  my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family as you mourn the loss of your dear mom. Although I did not know your mom, I know you and you are a product of your mom.  I'm sure she is so proud of the warm, loving, caring and intelligent woman you have become.  From what I have read, you have all the same qualities that are used to describe your mom!  What an honor to know you, bunko buddy!

The woven connection that Tim and I have with your family has grown through the years; creating a loving parental warmth shared by your mom and dad.  We have been the recipients of their kindness, wisdom and their greatest of all accomplishments found in their children.  Your mom lives on within all of you, all great examples shared with others every day.  Proof of a life well lived.

Words fall far short of what is in my heart right now.  Mom, you lived a beautiful life and were lucky enough to die in the arms of our dad.  You leave behind a beautiful legacy:  friends, neighbors, children, grandchildren, and one great-grandchild who love you and appreciate your spirit of generosity, wisdom, intelligence, and love. Your life mattered!  You taught us all to be open to new ideas and treat others with respect and dignity. I have no doubt that the angels in heaven are rejoicing to have you with them, Mom!  There is probably some New Orleans jazz music playing in the background and you are laughing and dancing with everyone you cared about who preceeded you in death.  We will miss you muchly, but know that you will be watching out for us from above.  Thank you for sharing your spirit, your love, and your wisdom with those of us who are left here to mourn you and who were lucky enough to know you.  We will take care of Dad for you (and make sure he doesn't eat any uncooked sausage!)
