We are  so sorry for Bennys  sudden passing.   He was such a Good Neighbor and Friend.  We will miss seeing you, Benny & the  Girls riding your bikes through the neighborhood with your sweet “Well-behaved” Dog following behind. 

We will miss Benny bringing the girls and sweet Dog for trick or treating. How Benny would always wave when passing by  our home & asking how we were doing.

We will also miss being lucky to see Benny at Humble City Cafe when we stoped in for lunch.   Also all the helpful information he would share.

Benny was my best friend in so many ways. And I hope and think I was his in return. I knew Benny for 25 years, first meeting him in January 1998 when we started working together. I was new myself, only hired on six weeks before, but was assigned to work with him and ‘train’ him. It was like the blind leading the blind. We were just kids, myself 22 years old and him being 23. We hit it off and formed a bond from the beginning since we were both new and everyone else was older than us. We were like brothers, like twins. We were partners in crime.

Of those 25 years, we would basically call each other and talk every single day for the last 23 years since cell phones came along. And it wasn’t just once a day, it was 3 or 4 or even more times a day that he would call while driving between grocery stores or waiting in the line to pick up the girls from school. We continued our daily calls even when he got out of the grocery business and went on to manage the restaurant. He would call me on his days off, on the way to Home Depot, or when he went shopping for the restaurant. He would tell me Dana would call him and ask him what are you doing? And of course he would be talking to me on the other line and say ‘talking to Hanna’…She said you talk to him all the time, all day, every day. If you like him that much why don’t you go marry him! I thought that was so funny and so great. But that’s what we did. That’s who we were to one another.

All the monthly sales meetings hanging with him until 10 pm (or later) when the meetings were done at 5 pm. All the road trips and airline flights for food shows we had to attend. All the hotel stays where we roomed together. All the hundreds if not thousands of memories over the last quarter of a century. 

I can still hear the way you used to say my name. I can still see your smiling face. I can still hear that fantastic laugh of yours. Every day a new old memory pops into my head over the course of our 25 year friendship. 



Dragul meu unchi Beni, îmi pare rău că ai plecat mult prea devreme dintre noi. Trupește ne-ai părăsit,însa de acolo sus din Cer știu că tu încă ne vezi. Țin minte și acum clipele frumoase când la tine la cabană ne cărai cu barca pe lac și vedeam puii de aligator,tractorașul acela cu care mă căram ziua întreagă numai tu mă ajutai cu el când rămâneam împotmolit . Îmi pare rău că nu am mai apucat sa mai jucăm o partidă de table sa pot câștiga și eu un meci. 
Dumnezeu sa te ierte și familiei tale în aceste clipe să-i dea pace și putere.
De la mii de km depărtare, cu respect și stimă îți spun un ultim rămas bun,nu te vom uita niciodată, odihnește-te în pace unchi drag.

How could I ever say goodbye to you my little brother ? You left us quietly without a word and our world stopped when you took your last breath....no one was there to hold your hand or hug you for the last time or whisper "I love you Beni", you just slept away....Your voice and bright smile are imprinted in my memory and I feel lost and don't know how to cope with losing you....
My universe is dark and full of pain, the sun is less brighter, the music is without melody, the flowers lost their fragrance, peace seems to be out of reach and my crushed heart will never mend....
Our parents are at the dawn of their life but God gave them incredible strength to be able to put their baby boy to eternal rest, something that no parent should go through....
I wish I had more time with you, I wish I had another chance tell you how much you meant to me.....
You were loved and respected by anyone that knew you, you were working so hard to provide for your family, helping others and always having a good attitude about life in general 
But now you are gone and the hole you left behind will never heal, all I have is memories and the pride that I was blessed with a little brother that brought so much happiness into my life....
Because you were much younger I always felt that I needed to shelter and protect you a little more, but you proved to be your own man, strong, honest, loyal and hard worker, I was always so proud of you....

Beni, I will forever love and miss you, you are irreplaceable and my life will never be the same without you....

Rest in peace my sweet brother and know that your life was priceless to us and I'm grateful to God that He gave you to us even for a little while because the joy you brought in our family is infinite

Such fond memories of Beni. He had the heart of gold and his smile will always be missed by anyone that met him.
