Joe was raised in McLeod, TX and graduated from McLeod High School in 1956. Following graduation he spent time in Dallas, TX studying accounting prior to returning home to McLeod and pursuing a lifelong career in the oil and industry. He had a passion for his job and was remembered by those who worked with him as a “man of his word.”
Above all, Joe was a family man. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Jeanette Bruce Wiggins. He is also preceded in death by his parents, along with a sister, Marcell Wiggins Gunner, and his brother, Jimmy Drue Wiggins.
He is survived by his sons, Gregory Joe Wiggins and Rob Wiggins; daughters-in-law, Jennifer Summerlin Wiggins and Yolanda Rodriguez Wiggins; as well as his sister, Annette Wiggins Eby; his grandchildren, Bobby Joe Wiggins, Brandy Wiggins Castaneda, Bradley Wiggins, Heather Wiggins Hays, and Reid Wiggins; as well as his great grandchildren, Julian Wiggins, Harper Hays, and Enzo Castaneda; and a score of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Joe was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery, in The Woodlands, TX with Pastor John Burris officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home and Cemetery. Everyone is invited to brunch at the Funeral Home immediately following the services.
