Brenda Alice Elmer, 86, of Woodlands, Texas, passed away on July 24, 2026. Born on September 27, 1939, in Victoria, Canada, Brenda lived a life full of passion, devotion, and an unmistakable love for her family, both two-legged and four-legged alike.
Brenda was a proud businesswoman who owned and operated her own dog grooming, boarding, and showing business. A true perfectionist in her craft, she dedicated herself to ensuring every dog in her care was beautifully groomed and well loved. Her talent and commitment earned her numerous awards for her stunning show dogs, and she had the remarkable honor of showing her beloved toy poodles at the prestigious Westminster Dog Show. Her involvement with the Poodle Club of America was a source of great pride and community for her.
Brenda loved to drive, and she would travel far and wide to attend dog shows across the country, though she always had a hard time leaving her dogs behind. She treasured summers spent taking her daughters to Cannon Beach during her years in Washington State. A lover of simple pleasures, she never lost her fondness for Roger's Chocolates, a sweet reminder of her Canadian roots.
Above all, Brenda loved her daughters, Colleen M. Gallagher and Barbara A. Olson, who survive her and will carry her memory always. A devoted Christian, Brenda cherished her Sunday worship and the fellowship of her church family. She now rests in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, Grand Hall, 18000 I-45 South, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.
A mother holds her children's hands for a while, their hearts forever.
