He graduated from Memorial High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and received a degree in Finance from The University of Oklahoma.
Byron married Vicki Corrine Oliver on October 20, 1990. He had a career in oil and gas for TCT Oil Brokers in Houston, Texas. He was a past member of little-league and church boards and had a passion for OU football, open-wheel racing, collecting old match box cars, and being a coach on and off the field.
His words of wisdom and advice, along with his genuine disposition, made him a man that people from all walks of life revered.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ryland Harold Oliver and Martha Norris Oliver; Uncles, Dr. Byron Carl Oliver and Myrl Julian Norris; Aunt, Shirley Oliver Hornberger.
Byron is survived by his wife, Vicki; sons, Byron Alexander, Collin Christian; brother, Ryland Christian Oliver; sister, Cynthia Oliver Holman; six nieces and nephews; six cousins; along with other relatives and friends.
He will be dearly missed by his many “adopted” sons whom he cared for just as his own.
A celebration of life for Byron will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Christ Church United Methodist, 6363 Research Forest Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77381. Following the service, there will be a reception at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, located at 25665 I-45, The Woodlands, TX 77380.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christ Church United Methodist or The Brookwood Community, an organization supporting adults with disabilities.
