Carmela Cleotilde Vega García de Chávez was born on December 1, 1930 in La Libertad, Peru, being the only girl of five children. On the night of October 12, 2020, she responded to the Lord’s call at the age of 89.
Together with Juan Helí Chávez Arévalo, she built a beautiful home in which she raised her sons and daughters: Brenilda, Luis, Oswaldo, Juan Helí, Mario Enrique, Marly, Norma, Santiago, Lilian, Norbil Elías, and Roberto Jesús.
Carmelita, as everyone called her, was a tireless mother and wife. She became an inseparable companion to her beloved Juan and her large family. Her strength and great love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren are forever remembered; bequeathing imperishable teachings to them and always having faith in God.
The family remembers the anecdotes, the family reunions, the laughter, the hugs, and the nights spent together that will remain in their memories and hearts forever. Mama Carmelita, all of those whose lives were touched by you, we thank God for giving us an angel like you, and with faith we know that in the beautiful celestial dimension where you are now, you are receiving God's love and living this new life that you deserve.
"WE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND YOU WILL LIVE IN US THROUGH THE EXEMPLARY VALUES YOU FORGED IN EACH MEMBER OF THE FAMILY."
