He was born at Redstone Arsenal Army Post in Huntsville, Alabama, on November 11, 1969.
Chad graduated from Humble High School in 1988 and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University in 1995.
He was married to Jodi Duncan Lundquist on May 3, 1997.
Chad worked in Procurement for the Oil & Gas industry for 23 years. He was currently working in a Senior Buyer position with McDermott International (formerly Chicago Bridge & Iron) and had just celebrated his 9 year anniversary with the Company. Prior to that, Chad worked for Jacobs Engineering (2006-2008) and Brown & Root/KBR (1995-2006).
Chad loved golfing, fishing, grilling, motorcycles, target shooting and spending time with his family and friends. He was a quiet man when it came to religion, but he had a strong faith and great love for God. It is his faith that carried him through and blessed him with the miracle of a lifesaving transplant 9 years ago. Chad and his family would like to honor Chad’s donor for this incredible gift that allowed him to be daddy for just a bit longer.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Georgia and Elmer Lundquist; maternal grandparents, William T. and Arlene Boston; mother, Elizabeth (Becky) Lundquist; niece, Rebecca Lundquist; and uncle, Scott Johnson.
He is survived by his father, Eric J. Lundquist Sr.; wife of 21 years, Jodi Duncan Lundquist; daughter, Courtney Lundquist; son, Justin Lundquist; brother, Eric Lundquist Jr. (Rick), and wife Lisa; nieces, Kathleen and Angele Lundquist; nephew, Timothy Lundquist; sister-in-law, Jane Kersh, and husband Harold (Hal); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers and very dear friends. The family extends special thanks and lots of love to Steve Smith and the entire Smith family, who have always loved and cared for Chad as if he is one of their own.
Chad’s family asks that you help them honor his memory and pay it forward by registering to become an organ donor. You cannot take it with you when you go, but you can be someone’s hero and leave your own legacy of love. In Texas, you can register at www.donatelife.texas.org or outside of Texas at www.donatelife.net.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Chad, memorials can be made to Spring Baptist Church Building Program, 633 E. Louetta Rd., Spring TX 77373, or visit https://springbaptist.org/home.
