After a courageous and long battle with depression, the pain became unbearable and Chanda chose to end her life on Friday, February 28th, 2020 three weeks after her birthday, at her home in Spring, TX. Chanda was 37 years old. If Chanda was asked to describe herself in a two words, she would choose "Awkward” and “Empty”. Her family and friends saw her to be just the opposite.
Chanda loved her boys and always included them in most activities. The sun rose and sat with them. She always made time, found activities and events that were not only different, but fun for all to enjoy.
She loved her holiday celebrations. Whether it was Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter …oh let’s not forget Halloween her favorite and “BOY “did she dress for the occasion!
She also loved her job as a pet stylist at “Animal Hospital of the Woodlands” where she worked 13 years always sharing her knowledge and tips freely. Her love of animals was evident and plentiful whether at work, home and yes even in her pig’s pen.
She was her sister’s voice of reason. Chanda found away to connect and provide flawless, sound advice to her sister with calm demeanor when she needed her, but yet quick to put her in her place. Chanda was a forgiving soul, she always found kind acts and words for troubled friends and others which we will cherish and remember always.
We have to remember how she loved to go fishing with her dad. She would sit beside him no matter how long watching and learning how to fish but wouldn’t let him put the worm on her hook. I think eventually she became his teacher in many ways.
Chanda is survived by her sons, Andrew Kyle Rebbe age 21 of Tomball, TX; Brandon Michael Brewer age 17 of Tomball, TX whom she shared with former spouse, Jon Brewer of Tomball, TX; Mother, Betty Harty of Deltona, FL ; Sister, Amber Nicole Rebbe of Conroe, TX; Grandmother, Barbara Anderson of Spring, TX; Aunt and Uncle, Linda and David Molnar of The Woodlands, TX; Cousin, Anthony Baldwin of Spring, TX ; and close friend, Steven Phomphaksavanh, Houston, TX; She is predeceased by her father Richard and brother Jason Rebbe .
Chanda will also be forever remembered by her numerous extended family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Chanda's life will be held at 10 am, on Saturday, March 7th, at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 1800 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX with Pastor Steve Bradley of Stonebridge Church officiating.
