Charles Emery Lasseter was born February 15, 1945 to William Emery and Laura Grace (Williams) Lasseter in Duncan, Oklahoma. On Sunday October 4, 2020, Charles lost his courageous battle with cancer. He passed away at his home in Bentwater, Montgomery, Texas with his wife Sharon of eighteen years.
Charles attended John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City where he excelled in football and track. He attended Oklahoma University his sophomore and junior year and graduated with a BSBA from Oklahoma City University. He served in the Oklahoma Army National guard as Sergeant, 745th Military Police Company. Charles worked in the oil and gas industry. He retired from Marathon Oil in 2015.
Hobbies included travel, sports, sailing and flying.
He is survived by his wife Sharon (Davis) Silverthorne Lasseter, two sons Greg Emery and wife Kathleen Suzanne (Walsh) of Allen, Texas and Bryan Edward and husband Frederic Riccardi of New York, two grandchildren Joshua Emery and Sarah Grace Lasseter, his sisters Mary Elizabeth and husband Charles Herrin and Linda Lee Robertson, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, two stepsons John Scott and Chris Carel Silverthorne and granddaughter Peyton Silverthorne.
Visitation will be held Friday October 9th at 11:00am at North Shore Church, 18501 FM1097, Montgomery, Texas 77356. Funeral services will be held at the same location at 1:00pm. Gravesite ceremony will be held Saturday October 10th at 11:00am at Whispering Pines Mausoleum at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery, 18000 I 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
