

Born on August 4, 1936, in Houston, Texas, Charles possessed an unwavering faith, an exceptional work ethic, and a strong determination that guided him throughout his life. He enjoyed a distinguished career in banking, where he was respected by his employees, customers, and colleagues for his leadership, integrity, and legendary ability to deliver exceptional (ROE) results.
When Charles met Paula, he knew immediately she would become his wife. Together they shared 70 blessed years of marriage and built a beautiful family that became the center of his life.
A man of deep Catholic faith, Charles began each day with Mass, prayers, and sharing a daily Gospel meditation with his many loved ones by text.
Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula; his parents, Mary Rose and John Patronella; his brothers; and his cherished great-grandson.
Known lovingly as “Poppy,” Charles is survived by his four children: David (Donna) Patronella, Mary Grace (Bobby) Kiesewetter, Cathy (Kevin) Brady, Larry Patronella; seven grandchildren: Hailey (Johannes) Spengler, Casey (Christine) Kiesewetter, Corey (Loretta) Kiesewetter, Mark (Cassandra) Patronella, Amy Patronella, William Brady (fiancée Bree Fowler), Sean Brady; and six precious great-grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch Drive, The Woodlands, Texas. A Rosary will be prayed in the chapel prior to the Mass, and a reception will immediately follow at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Charles’ honor to MD Anderson Cancer Center or Catholic Charities.
