Born in Germany on April 26, 1951, as the daughter of a military family, Christin came to America while still young, carrying with her the adaptable spirit and strength that would define so much of her life.
After attending chiropractic college, Christin fulfilled her dream of opening and operating The Woodlands Integrative Medicine Associates, where she devoted herself to helping others heal and live with less pain. Her work was never simply a profession — it was deeply personal to her. She genuinely cared about the people who walked through her doors, and many patients became lifelong friends because of the warmth, humor, and attention she brought into every interaction.
Christin was known for her elegance, incredible sense of style, sharp wit, and unforgettable sense of humor. She had a vibrant personality and a gift for making a home feel alive through conversation, laughter, music, movies, and shared time together. She especially enjoyed true crime programs on the ID Network and ghost shows on the Travel Channel, interests that brought her endless fascination and entertainment.
Her spirituality became one of the deepest parts of her identity. In her later years, Christin embraced the Catholic faith with sincerity and passion and was recently baptized Catholic. Her faith brought her comfort, peace, and strength through both joyful and difficult moments.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clifford Lumpkin.
She is survived by her beloved son, Christopher Lumpkin, and daughter-in-law, Jessica Lumpkin; her brother, Ernest Smith; and her sister, Sylvia Saap. She is also survived by her beloved pets: her two French bulldogs, Louie and Sophie; her Boston terrier, Lexi; her tabby cats, Reggie and Archie; her Siamese cat, Thomas; and her two birds, Gussie and Robert.
To those closest to her, Christin will be remembered not only for what she accomplished, but for the feeling of her presence: her voice, her humor, her strong opinions, her generosity, her compassion for animals, and the love she gave to the people she cared about most. The memories she created — shopping trips, movies, music playing through the house, long conversations, and laughter shared during ordinary days — now become treasured pieces of a life that mattered deeply.
Her absence leaves an immeasurable silence, but her love and spirit remain woven into the lives of those she leaves behind.
