Clovis Goncalves LeBlanc left this earth on August 15, 2022. Clovis was born to Hilda Olga Zin and Abilio Goncalves on February 19, 1934 in Sao Paulo, Brasil. Clovis was the middle child of 3 boys. He was born with no hip joint on his right side but from a young age, he never let that stop him. He was told that he would never drive a car or lead a normal life. If it was one thing he knew very early on, is that he would prove all of the naysayers wrong. He had a penchant for art that he inherited from his maternal grandfather and began designing jewelry. In 1967, he made the leap to leave his home country and move to New York. By chance, he decided to attend poker night on a different evening in February of 1970 where he happened to meet his beautiful wife, Heloise. Heloise was also born in Brasil. Funny enough, he lived right down the street from where she worked prior to leaving Brasil yet neither had met. Clovis said that as soon as he met her, he knew that she was going to be the woman that he married. Three months later, he proposed and they married in December of 1970. To anyone that has met either, they are a half to a whole, the yin to each other’s yang. Clovis and Heloise built an amazing life, had many adventures, and raised their children in a home full of love and fun. Those that came in contact with Clovis loved him. He touched many lives and was always exceedingly generous. Clovis is preceded in his heavenly entrance by his older brother, Nelson, and his parents. Clovis is survived by his wife, Heloise; his daughter Aurea LeBlanc-Silva and son in law Matthew Silva; his daughter Daniella LeBlanc-Eget and son in law Edward Eget; his three grandchildren – Brianna, Liam, and Ryan; his brother Izaltino; and by many nieces and nephews who he loved just as much as his own children.
