Cindy was born in Austin, Texas, March 10, 1969, and grew up in New Braunfels, Texas, graduating from Canyon High School, where she was an athlete, class president and homecoming queen. She earned a Bachelor of Journalism degree from The University of Texas at Austin, where she met her future husband, Andrew DuBois.
She started her career at the PBS station in Harlingen, Texas, before moving on to become the public relations manager for South Padre Island. In 1999, she accepted a position with The Woodlands Development Company and a short time later found her passion for arts and entertainment in public relations for The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Later, as marketing and education director for the Pavilion, she was proud of her efforts to expose youngsters to music in education through fine arts programs and concerts. She helped grow The Woodlands Children’s Festival into one of the most popular weekend events for families in the area and provide growing audiences for the Houston Symphony and Ballet. She volunteered with The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival and served in other community-oriented capacities. She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Montgomery County.
Cindy also found much joy in spending time with her two children, Madeline and Hunter, whether it was at their ballgames, the pool, trips to the beach and Walt Disney World, or even just playing board games.
Cindy was known for her smile, compassion for others, kind heart, homemade salsa and interest in scary movies and HGTV shows. She cherished the friendships she made along the way through her work at the Pavilion and involvement in her children’s activities, building loving community families at work and in Rush soccer with her daughter and ORWALL baseball with her son.
Cindy is survived by her husband Andrew, daughter Madeline; son Hunter, all of The Woodlands; parents Tom and Nancy Kosser, of New Braunfels; sister Kelly Williamson and husband Bill, of San Antonio; and sister Pamela Morales and husband Abe, of New Braunfels.
