

Dane was born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania on January 23, 1945 to parents Miriam Clark Grenoble and William “Bill” Grenoble. He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Penn State and later obtained his Doctorate from the University of Illinois. He went on to enjoy a long and successful career in Chemical Engineering, working for both Exxon and Shell.
Dane married Zlata Simunic on December 6, 1990. Dane and Zlata enjoyed over 35 years of marriage together, a testament to the enduring power of true love and partnership. They raised their daughter together, and Dane was a devoted dad to Susanne. In his later years, he fully embraced his role as a grandfather, finding joy in spending time with his grandchildren, Anjuei and Liam.
Dane had a lifelong passion for golf and spent countless hours enjoying the camaraderie and challenges of his favorite courses as a member of both The Woodlands Country Club and Augusta Pines Golf Club.
Dane was preceded in death by his parents Miriam and Bill Grenoble, his brother Skip and his sister Marjory.
He is survived by his wife Zlata Grenoble, daughter Susanne, granddaughter Anjuei, and grandson Liam.
A devoted family man, respected professional, and a true gentleman on the golf course, Dane will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched. May the fairways ahead of him be forever green.
