John David Cronan, Jr., better known and loved by all as “Bear,” 42, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away Monday, August 11, 2014. David’s strong will and unwavering love for his family and friends kept him ‘fighting with faith’ to the very last day of his battle with multiple myeloma cancer.
David was born on November 30, 1971 in Houston, Texas to John and Diane Cronan, where he grew up with younger brother, Dennis Cronan; and where he later met his wife, Jennifer Cronan.
His 25-year long relationship with high school sweetheart, Jennifer, began the summer of 1989. He and Jennifer were married on October 14, 2000 in The Woodlands, Texas, where the two were blessed with David’s most prized possessions – their children, Aidan and Audrey.
After graduating from Sam Houston State University in 2000, he began his career in the wine industry – working for Glazer’s and E. & J. Gallo Winery for over ten years and most recently as National Strategic Accounts Manager for Terlato Wines International.
David will live in the hearts of so many, remembered for his larger-than-life personality, laid-back charm and his great gift of gab. Never wanting to miss annual trips to Cabo San Lucas with the family, or having Jennifer accompany him on his various wine trips – David most enjoyed filling each and every day with love, laughter, surrounded by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer Cronan; son Aidan (age 12); daughter Audrey (age 6); parents John and Diane Cronan; brother Dennis Cronan, his wife Angelica, their twin daughters Abigail & Isabel; in-laws Mary and Richard Aguilar; sister-in-law Jessica Leffingwell, her husband Rick, their children Addison & Asher; along with the countless number of adored family members, friends, and all too many he won the hearts of.
Friends and family may visit at Forest Park – The Woodlands on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. A mass will be held in his honor on Saturday, August 16, at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands at 2:00 pm; immediately followed by interment at Forest Park, The Woodlands. Reception details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF).
