Our deepest condolences.  The journey of healing from loosing part of your ❤ is unbearable at times.  You are not alone.  I truly understand the meaning of one day at a time. Our boy's  are also not alone and will be by our side with every tear we shed.

We will always remember Austin as a handsome young athlete playing baseball at ORWALL — all those days and nights at the Park — the entire Brassard family helped make so many ORWALL memories.. and Austin will always be part of those memories!  Big Joe loved to coach Austin and all the kids.. (while Susan coached from sidelines ;-D )!!  

Austin touched many lives and created many memories ... and a special note for his young son, if you ever grow up and decide to play baseball, I am sure your dad would be proud and always with you through every ball and strike!

I can not imagine their pain. I personally coached and taught this young man from the time he was 10 and had the honor of watching him grow into a great young man. I grew up with Susan Frantz Brassard and went to high school with her. Gina Maria Johnson and I are so saddened to hear of his passing and offer our deepest sympathy and prayers to Joe and Susan and their family. May God Bless and keep you. If you had the joy to have known Austin (AB) then you were truly blessed.

Susan and the Brassard family so graciously embraced our family when we moved to the Woodlands in 2006.  Austin, Joseph and Bailey quickly became my children’s closest friends.   I will never forget the sweet smile on Austin’s face and his laughter filling the room as the boys would run around and chase after the girls.    Austin you will be truly missed.  

Austin Brassard was a lovely man, father, brother, son, cousin, nephew, and baseball pitcher.  My favorite memories of Austin come from the joy he gave his friend, family and teammates as a pitcher.  I lived vicariously through his mother's play by play stories of his pitching career.  We would spend hours on the phone as she kept score at games, giving the play by play and of course, her colorful commentary.  Once on a visit, Austin taught me how to play baseball on Wii.  He killed me.  I went straight home and bought a Wii Sports game, so next time we played I had a chance.  

Austin was legendary in my daughter's mind.  He baby sat her as his own sister and played with her.  It was beautiful to watch.  I hope to watch his son grow up and forever see David Austin Brassard in Jame's eyes.  Wishing the family comfort and peace during this difficult time over the loss of their beloved.   God Bless.

I moved away from Houston very shortly after Austin was born, and therefore, regrettably, never got to see Austin grow up firsthand and know him like I would have liked. However, his father and I go way back; we’re old high school buddies. All of my memories of Austin are seen through the eyes of Joey, who would never fail to speak about Austin glowingly whenever we talked. In remembrance of Austin, I was reading through some old emails between Joey and me. There was one from February 2012 when Austin was 14. At the time, Joey described Austin as a “man child” – with pride – as he was already 5’10” and 165 pounds. It’s funny because I saw another email along the same lines from April 2010 where Joey enthusiastically said that Austin was already 5’5” tall, and that he was taking Austin to a Rush concert in San Antonio later that same year in September. Then, there was one from May 2009 where Joey describes Austin as turning into “quite the little pitcher.” Although my memories of Austin are sparse and doled out only periodically via emails, I always cherished hearing about any little bit of news about him from one my oldest and best friends. I will forever be sad about not having the opportunity to get to know Austin better as both an adult and the loving father to James that he was meant to be. 

Susan and Joe  I'm so sorry for your loss.  Prayers for you and your family . When I met  Austin while I was taking care of miss Etta Sue . He treated me like I was one of the family. I will never forget him or his sweet smile.

Austin was a special guy because he truly lived unapologetically, we met in 7th grade right during the awkward time in a young mans life where you don’t know the road your taking yet. We made our computer class into an hour time slot of jokes and we about tortured the poor old lady that taught it. We knew computers so we’d play little pranks to make the class laugh. Nothing harmful ever but these were the stories we’d continue to tell for years. 

If you weren’t laughing with us you more then knew who we were. Our teachers even came to love us they’d begrudgingly separate us then laugh like a loving parent when they saw us come together over any opportunity. Every moment between us we were laughing. Austin was the Chris Farley of our adolescent life everyone knew who he was and laughed at his humor, tragedy robbed him from us. 

It hurts me that I never knew him as a father and even more that his son will not know his love the way he deserves to. Austin loved whole heartedly and unlike most people in our age group he knew how to say it. He wouldn’t let you go on without knowing what you meant to him and what you had done for him. He held close his friends and his family and he had a admiration for any good in his life no matter how little or how long the light shone for. Austin was appreciative of everything he had and I know most of all he treasured family. 

People pass twice in this world: once when they leave their body and once more when they leave our memories and mouths. I’ll cherish my memories and I’ll never stop telling stories of how he helped me laugh grow and learn from life. He was a talented and passionate man and I don’t say that lightly. He was something you could strive to be. Even in his worst days his character could shine through, he was a principled youth and a character all his own. I love you brother and god knows I wish I held you tighter.

Joe and Susan I was sorry to hear about Austin.  My deepest condolences and prayers are with all of you.

When I first met Austin we were just in 3rd grade. My first reaction was that he was LOUD, rambunctious, and hilarious (None of that ever changed by the way). His personality and his laughter drew me in and we became buds right away.

With both of our last names being near each other alphabetically, it meant that we constantly had classes and Study Hall together all throughout Elementary/Middle/ High School.

Paired with us gaming together, sleep overs, parties, birthdays, jamming to Meek Mill or Mac Miller, etc. We were simply two peas in a pod.

In school, Austin was always the class clown. Words can not do justice to all the belly filled laughter he gave to others and myself. When I was bullied, Austin was the one who would stand up for me, even if they were his friends. It is something I never forgot but never said thank you enough for. Some of my favorite memories of high school were in our Study Hall room goofing around with Each other and our close friend group. I look back fondly on those days and wish I captured more of that time.

During our college years, I am so happy we would catch up and check in on each others and our families lives. It was always encouragement and a good motivator to do better. I even remember Austin watched one of my matches online when I was competing at a tournament for ACU Esports. It was a really great full circle moment for Him and I, because I would go watch his Baseball games growing up. (He played baseball with me once and told me to "stick to gaming" !!)
It really is a honor to say that we grew up together. But more importantly I am proud of the man Austin became. Seeing his face with James , you knew that he made it in life. Being a father was something he not only wanted out of life but also became his greatest gift to us.

From the day he was born, Austin was named by Uncle Tim as “Big A”.  .... personal , sweet and enduring.  He spent many a night with us while Susan hostessed at Houston’s Restrauant. 

Austin was Grace’s baby.  She hauled him around on her hip like her own.  She mothered and smothered him until he got big enough to push her away.   

Most vivid recent memory is Summer 2016.  Camille and I drove to Houston to move Grace.  Early in the day Austin was not getting his way and saying he wanted a new mom.  So Susan and I decided to “switch” for the day.  I would parent her kids and she mine. He was thrilled to get Aunt Marjorie.  A pushover... so he thought.  We all went to the water park for a day of fun.   Austin was fussing to go home.  He was bored.  He was being relentless with Susan. She said “ remember I am not your mom. “.  So he tried all stops on me. I made him stay. We were not going to leave to take him home 45 min away just so he could play Xbox. He was mad.  After pouting poolside for awhile he finally gave in and started playing on rides with the kids.  He commented later that he wanted to trade back moms.  HA!!   

When we were growing up, we lived on the same street so I spent a lot of time hanging out with Austin. I will always cherish my time playing at the Brassard household! My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Austin’s loved ones. 

Austin was always a funny standup guy. We met playing baseball and he always was someone you wanted on your team. I looked up to A.B when it came to baseball bc he always knew his stuff like the back of his hand. From hanging off the field to late nights playing xbox, he always had the people around him laughing. I still can’t believe he’s gone, but im certain that anyone who met Austin can say he was a blessing.

Joe and Susan, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this very difficult time. One of the first memories I have when we met Austin was his engaging quality, his bigger than life smile, and his wonderful sense of humor.  His presence will no doubt be truly missed. 
A quote I once read is this:
“Those we love don’t go away, they walk besides us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear”.

I am so very very sorry at the unimaginable loss that you are all feeling. I remember learning that Austin was on his way & meeting him for the first time as a little boy. He was energy filled & determined and very sweet. He helped me make a cup of coffee, operate the tv remote, gave me directions to the store & was my co-pilot during my entire visit. He knew his own mind and had a laugh that will never be forgotten.  I’m blessed to have known Austin in this life & to be reunited in the next.  Xo

We have had many good times with the Brassards.  Our kids grew up together riding bikes and hanging out at each other’s house. We would share babysitting and treated all the kids as our own. Kids and parents bonded. Austin was always kind and helpful to the younger ones. He looked out for everyone and made sure they had what they needed before he did. At a young age he had no problem holding conversations with adults. I appreciate the time we spent together and enjoyed watching Austin grow up. 

You are loved and will be missed on this earth, but heaven has gained a special person. 

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Austin. Austin and I (along with Hunter) were best friends during our elementary years; we also played baseball together.  During that time period, I remembered how much I struggled with creating and maintaining friendships; however, when it came to Austin, Hunter and I, there was no such struggles! The memories I made with Austin as a young child will be forever cherished. Unfortunately due to my employment, I am in North Carolina. But, if there is anything that me or my family in the Woodlands can do, please let me know!

Thinking of you and am grateful to have known Austin. I’m pretty sure he holds the record for the only sustained injury from a youth ski trip. I’m know there are dozens of pics of him with the youth group, but here is one with his Mountain group. We are propping you up with our prayers. 

Susan and Joe and family,  I am so sorry for your loss, this is heartbreaking. Please know you are in my prayers.

I went to high school with Susan and saw when Austin was an infant how Susan and Joe instantly became parents that most of us wish we could be.  My son Brent Lee and Austin I can say were best friends in them early years. My ex wife and Susan worked at Houston's together for many years and became great friends.  She would hang with Susan and the boys while Joe and I would play a very rough round of golf on the weekends. (I still believe Joe cheated, but that's another story). Austin I want you to know that you were so loved. When hearing of their loss of you, I sat back in my chair and paused for a good thirty minutes of what I just read. Though I haven't seen you in many years, I though of that smirk smile that you had. How genually you hated no one, that's a trait that isn't learned. It's just a part of your DNA.  Austin you give em hell up there and show them how a man as yourself, changed so many lives with the short time you were here.

We have so many good memories of those days.
We kind of lost touch, but occasionally we would run into Austin and  he would always come up and speak to me and Jeff so kindly.
He had such a big heart.
