David H. Galindo, born February 16, 1935, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on December 17, 2015. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Gabriel and Celinda Galindo, and his brother Jamie. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Ann, two sons, David Galindo II, and Steven and his wife Robyn Galindo, and his daughter and her husband, Suzanne and Richard Bench. David also leaves behind two brothers, Anthony J. Galindo and his wife Virginia, and Richard J. Galindo. David had five grandchildren, Nic and his wife Ashley, Austin and his wife Lauren, and Will Bench, and Tyler and Lauren Galindo. David graduated from Jeff Davis High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy during peace time, and then served the city of Houston for twenty-two years as a patrolman with the Houston Police Department, retiring in 1982. He operated his own private business for twenty years as a Civil process server in and around Harris County. He was a member of the Houston Police Retired Officers Association and a member of Saint Matthias Catholic Church. David enjoyed photography and could be counted on to show up at any event he attended with his cameras in hand to capture all the special moments for his family and friends. David’s ability to make people laugh with his quick wit and great sense of humor will be missed by everyone who knew him.
