David graduated from Lupson Accounting College in Hong Kong in 1953. However, life for David was not always successful in spite of being a successful businessman, he vividly remembered the hardships he and his family endured during the 50's. David was unable to finish high school because in 1954 communists took over China and resulted in tragedy for his family as eight members of his family perished under the brutality of communist rule. Determined to not live under communism, he looked for any chance to get the family out of Hong Kong and that opportunity became available in 1973. In 1973 that opportunity was to live in Hawaii where he finished high school and it was there that he and his wife raised their 2 daughters and he brought his father and his half brothers and sisters to Hawaii as well.
In 1987, at the age of 52 he moved to San Diego and after graduating from college he was hired by SCI and worked until 2000.
In the end, his life although filled with challenges, he endured and his motto was that no matter what I do, I will always try to do the best that I can and that motto has passed on now to us.
David was preceded in death by his father, Yup Chow Pang, his mother, Wai Wai Leung, and his wife, Marina Pang.
