Dorothy Frances Rabon

Dorothy Frances Rabon, of Willis, Texas passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2023 at the age of 90. Dorothy was born in Temple, Texas on July 5, 1932 to Joe Svoboda and Annie (Spacek) Svoboda. She married her beloved husband, J. C. Rabon, on December 24, 1955. The couple shared 53 wonderful years together prior to his passing in 2009. Dorothy retired from the City of Houston after working there for many years.

Dorothy was known as being a feisty lady with an ever-present sense of humor. Everyone who knew her loved her and loved being in her presence. She could light up any room with her smile. She will be remembered for all the love she shared with friends and family. She gave her unconditional love to each and every one of them, and somehow, always had room in her heart for the many new friends she met throughout her life. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Rabon; her sisters, Irene Sapp, Louise Genzer and Ella Mae Akin; and her nieces, Jan Sapp and Barbara Genzer. She is survived by stepsisters, Martha Wren (Curtis) and Margie Svoboda; stepbrother Joe Robert Svoboda; and nephews, John Sapp, Mark Svoboda, Illya Wayne Davis, and Ronald Sapp.

The family thanks everyone for the outpouring of love and support during this time.

Services will be held for Dorothy on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. A Visitation will take place from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home in The Woodlands, Texas followed by a Funeral Service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The Burial will occur from 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm at Center Hill Cemetery in Oakhurst, Texas.
