Joe was born in Laredo, Texas on July 27, 1923.
He graduated from Sturgis High School in South Dakota. After graduating (from High School), he joined the Air Force in November 1st 1940 until October 22 1945 where he served as an airplane mechanic. On June 5th 1951 he obtained his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering (degree) from the University of Oklahoma. He had a long career working in different countries (around the world) in the oil business industry.
After his retirement he enjoyed doing volunteer work (as) teaching English, translating in the Interfaith Community Clinic, playing golf… always the busy bee he enjoyed working around the house and taking up different hobbies from painting, to wood working, to gardening. He especially enjoyed Christmas time where he got to put on a show for the neighborhood with his impressive Christmas light decorations.
He was a kind man who always had kind words and love for his fellow men. He always said that we must treasure the good in life and dispose of the bad, and that a smile could always achieve more than a bad attitude.
Earl (Joe) is survived by his wife, Teresa R. Geoffrey, daughter JoElla Brannon, stepson Jose Andres Seminario, grandchildren Donald Lee Harter, Sheri S. Hamill, Andres Seminario and Rafael Seminario, greatgrandchildren, Ella Harter, Nicholas and Abree Horniack, niece June Perkins, Martha Torrealba and Nephew Patrick Nutter.
