Ernest Elbert Parker, age 80, of Conroe, Texas passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. He was born in Houston, Texas on January 27, 1945 to parents Truman Parker and Lois Wilson Parker.
Ernie graduated from St. Pius X High School in Houston, Texas. He met the love of his life, Diane Stuart, and the two married on January 8, 1965. Ernie and Diane built a family, raising their 2 sons, Michael and Robert. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, a testament to their lifelong devotion.
Ernie enjoyed a long and successful career in the oil industry. He retired after many years of working as a supervisor for BP/Amoco. He was also a proud US Army veteran who fueled his passion for serving and honoring vets through his affiliations with veterans organizations.
Ernie was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Parker and his son Michael Parker. He is survived by his beloved wife Diane Stuart Parker, his son Robert Parker, grandson Nicholas Parker, and sister Helen Gabriel.
Ernie will be forever remembered as a loving family man and proud veteran who will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Ernie will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
