

Evelyn Sue Carry was born May 25, 1945, to Rosie Elizabeth Dykes and James “Champ” Kelley in Midland, Texas. She left this earth on August 17th, 2025. She was 80 years old. She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Carry, mother Rose Ray, her stepfather Garnett Ray, and her grandson, Philip Langham.
She is survived by her three children, Carl Langham, Carol Jones (husband Mike), and Dewey Langham (wife Cecilia). She will be forever missed by her 15 grandchildren Billy, Melissa, Britney, Zack (wife Emily), Jacob (wife Rachel), Catherine, Nikki, JD, Wesley (wife Serena), Gordon (wife Ruth Ann), Sierra, Eddie, Joey, Renee, and Desiray, and her 28 great-grandchildren. Lastly, Sue is survived by her siblings Linda Butts, Jim Jones, Ed Rayburn, and Jan Runyon as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly.
Throughout her life, Sue called many places home including Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Alabama, and her favorite place of all Gretna, Louisiana, where she met and married the love of her life, Joe Carry. Known for her vibrant spirit, she lived life to the fullest, mastering her love for bowling, shooting pool, throwing darts, and singing karaoke. She enjoyed five years of retirement and spent her last days enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was generous with her time, her talents, and her treasures.
And she will be most greatly missed by her chihuahua, Kevin Bacon.
Sue Carry was a light in the lives of many, and her warmth, humor, and love will be remembered forever.
A memorial service will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384, United States. The service is scheduled for August 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
