Georgie Annette Bauer, whose maiden name was Georgie Annette Hall, was born on February 13, 1968, in Houston, Texas, and was baptized into our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Baptist Church in Deer Park, Texas at 8 years of age.
Georgie moved to Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia with her family and attended Najmah school there from third grade in 1978 through ninth grade in 1983, while her father, Walter Hall, worked for Saudi Aramco. Georgie returned to the United States and attended high school in Livingston, Texas for her sophomore through senior years, graduating from Livingston High School in 1986 in the top ten of her class, where she was Vice President of her Senior Class and Prom Queen, among other honors. Georgie graduated from Texas A&M University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and began teaching mathematics at Collins Intermediate School in The Woodlands, Texas.
Georgie and her husband, Scott N. Bauer, were married at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Conroe, Texas in 1993. During the next school year, Georgie was teaching math at Galatas Elementary School in The Woodlands when Georgie and Scott welcomed their daughter, Emily, into the world. Georgie spent Emily’s early years at home, and in 1998 returned to teaching at Mitchell Intermediate School in the Woodlands, where she continued to teach math to the students she loved for 27 years until her retirement in May 2025.
Georgie had a true passion for teaching and a deep, abiding love for all the children that she taught during her 30-year teaching career in Conroe Independent School District. Georgie not only ensured that each of her students learned mathematics, but that every child also felt loved in her classroom.
Georgie was a faithful servant of our Lord Jesus and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church for 32 years, along with her husband, Scott, and daughter, Emily. In addition to being a loving schoolteacher, Georgie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, neighbor, and friend.
Georgie loved all her pets, shopping, baking cookies, taking trips to the beach, playing sudoku and scrabble, solving jigsaw puzzles, getting her nails done, soaking up the sun at the pool, enjoying movies at home, and spending time with and caring for her family that she loved.
On Sunday, November 30, 2025, following a 7-year battle with breast cancer, Georgie was peacefully called to her heavenly home by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Georgie is preceded in death by her mother’s parents, George and Evelyn Dumesnil, and by her father’s parents, James and Velma Hall.
Georgie is survived by her husband, Scott N. Bauer; daughter, Emily E. Williams (husband, Preston Williams); mother, Sharon Hall; father, Walter Hall; sister, Debra Smith; sister, Lynette Manning (husband, Craig Manning); and brother, Dean Hall (wife, Ashley Hall).
While we grieve Georgie’s passing, we can now rejoice in knowing that Georgie is at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and that we will one day be reunited with her again when we are called to our heavenly home.
A Christian funeral service will be held for Georgie on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 9191 Cochran’s Crossing Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.
Memorials may be made, in memory of Georgie, to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (gslcthewoodlands.org/give).
