

Services for Gerald Leopold Michalsky, 66, of The Woodlands will be held on Monday March 28th at 10:00 AM at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands with Father Loc Phan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery. Viewing for family and friends will be at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery on Sunday March 27th from 5:00-8:00 with rosary at 7:00.
Gerald Michalsky went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 25th, 2011. He was born January 3, 1945, in Houston, TX to Itgnatz and Antonio Michalsky. After growing up in Crosby and graduating Crosby High School in 1963, he served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War and then went on to become a Journeyman Electrician. On March 29, 1971, he married the love of his life Gaile Smith of Crosby, TX. From coaching softball for his kids to a life long career with CW Henderson Electric, Gerald always had a kind heart and a giving, hard working spirit.
Along with his service in the US Army, Gerald was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church where he attended regularly with his family.
Gerald’s favorite past time was to spend Sunday afternoons grilling food for dinner and enjoying a cold beer with his family. He also enjoyed his trips to Las Vegas with friends and family.
On behalf of his family, we want to especially thank all of the physicians, nurses and personnel who assisted him at Memorial Herman Hospital and Odyssey Hospice.
We would like to also give a special thanks to Cliff Henderson, a loved and trusted friend.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Lou Stasney and grandson Nikolas Madrid. He is survived by his loving family, including his loving and devoted wife of almost 40 years, Gaile Michalsky of Spring; daughters, Connie Latham and husband James of Flint, Janet McKeel and husband Jason of Fort Drum, NY, Amanda Yeager and husband Layne of Conroe, Sarah Rodgers and husband Derek of The Woodlands; son, Stephen Michalsky and wife Dawn of Spring; grandchildren, Zoe Madrid, Sydney and Maggie Latham of Flint; Kaitlin, Shelby and Brianna McKeel of Fort Drum, NY; Morgan and Logan Yeager of Conroe; Bryce Rodgers of The Woodlands; Megan and Stephen Michalsky of Spring. Brothers and sisters; Delores Stasney, Theresa Hartman, Anthony Michalsky, Rosemary Clements, Adeline Anges, and Tommy Michalsky, along with many more nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Junior Stasney, Ronnie Stasney, Mark Michalsky, Brad Michlsky, John Clement, Raymond Clement, Buddy Wood and Brian Michalsky.
