She was born in Havana, Cuba on June 28, 1930. She was married to Segundo Miranda on October 12, 1955.
Gladys had a career in airport security. She had a passion for her family, friends and pets. She enjoyed sewing – making outfits for herself and her cousins as well as doing the laundry. One of her fondest memories were being with her parents in Cuba. Her proudest moments were being a wonderful wife, becoming a mother at the moment of birth of her first and second child and becoming a grandmother. One of her greatest accomplishments was coming to a new country and making her way with her family.
She was survived by her husband of 60 years, Segundo Miranda; daughter, Helen Smith; grandchildren, Jessica Berman-Gault, Haley Smith and Blair Smith; and a great-grandson, Jackson Elijah Gault. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jackie Berman.
