It is with great sadness that the family of Patricio Cruz announce his passing. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and father in-law. Patricio went on to be with the Lord on April 27th, at the age of 74, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Patricio was a man who lived a full and rewarding life. Born in Quito, Ecuador on April 8th, 1949, he was the son of Carlos Cruz and Martha Mercedes Falconi de Cruz. As his profession, he worked in the home remodeling industry and owned his own company, Bestcare and Aztec Home Services for over 25 years. Patricio was an excellent salesperson, hardworking and undeniably talented. He was passionate and meticulous about his work. His focus was always on making his customers happy. Patricio’s clients adored him just as much as he cherished them. He dedicated his entire life to being the best financial provider and support for his family.
Despite the demands of his profession, Patricio never lost sight of what was truly important to him - his family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Christy, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage that lasted for 35 years and 10 months. Together, they raised 4 children, Lynnette, John-Patrick, Rochelle, and Michael, and were blessed with three grandchildren, who were the joy of his life. He was also a loving father to his daughter, Michelle, and his two grand-daughters.
His family was everything to him. He loved spending time with them and nothing made him happier. He enjoyed sharing stories from his past and his military cadet experience in Ecuador. Patricio was very charismatic, cheerful, kind, disciplined, creative, spiritual and generous. He put his family's needs before his own. His unwavering love, presence and support will always be missed.
During his leisure time, Patricio found joy in swimming in his pool, which he always kept in pristine condition. He enjoyed listening to music and dancing. He looked forward to his frequent phone calls with his beloved mother, Marthita. He would creatively design with so much love homemade cards and send them to her. He loved hosting family game nights with his immediate and extended family where food was abundant, many laughs were shared and lasting memories were made.
His faith and love for God was important to him. He was a man of integrity and led his family by example. He enjoyed attending services at Lakewood Church and Catholic Masses, listening to Dr. Tony Evans and Dr. Charles Stanley. He shared his passion for Christ with his children in hopes of them becoming Christ followers and have a solid foundation and relationship with our Lord and Savior.
Patricio will be remembered for his contagious laugh and warm smile, his “larger than life” personality, generous spirit, and abundant love. His loss leaves a void that cannot be filled, but we take comfort in knowing that he lived a full and meaningful life, surrounded by those he loved most.
Rest in peace in eternal heaven. You will be deeply missed by your family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing you. Your lasting legacy will live on through us. You will be remembered forever and in our hearts.
