J. John Gillentine, 80, of Magnolia, TX, passed away on January 8, 2016. He was born in Crowley, LA on March 10, 1935. John graduated from Gueydan High School and attended Louisiana State University. He was married to Adela Ann Heflin (Doll) on October 29, 1966. John was retired from working in the chemical plants in Geismar, LA as a lab technician. John's hobbies included traveling in his RV and visiting family and friends. He was survived by his wife Adela H. Gillentine, children Jay J. Gillentine and Kyle J. Gillentine, daughter in-law Andrea M. Gillentine, grandchildren Shelby T. Gillentine, Kaidan A. Gillentine, and Kendal D. Gillentine, sister Jane G. Hair, and brother Glynne F. Gillentine and other nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Visitation on 1/12/2016 from 5-8pm at Forest Park Funeral Home, The Woodlands, TX. Funeral Mass on 1/13/2016 at 2pm at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, The Woodlands, TX. Burial service on 1/14/2016 at 12:00pm starting at Johnson's Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA and ending at Goos Cemetery in Lake Charles.
