Jack was born in Ypslilanti, Michigan to Arthur and Leona Chapman. After leaving home, he proudly served in the Navy, a time he spoke of with fondness, and one he credited with preparing him for life. He started his career in sales at Hanover Shoes and later worked for companies including Universal Tire and Darrell Wright and Associates. He had a love for life and enjoyed racing motorcycles, playing golf, and building and flying radio controlled model planes.
Jack was married to Jeanne Basalla Chapman for 49 years. She precedes him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Annette Copeland, Jackie Powell and Nadine Hogan as well as six grand children.
Visitation is Thursday, November 20 from 5-9 p.m. at Forest Park Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 South. Funeral services begin Friday, November 21 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, The Woodlands.
