Jacqueline Kay Samoff was born on March 8, 1942, in Eureka, Kansas to Thurlow and Floriene Jackson and grew up with her sister Gayle (Hendry) in Kansas, Illinois and California. She passed away on February 17, 2026, in The Woodlands. Texas.
Jackie and Pete met in high school and were married January 19, 1963, in California, and just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.
Jackie had a True Servants Heart in her 60 year walk with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All who knew her could see her faith in her continual smile and caring “for you first” attitude.
Through her life Jackie has had many, many interests, and could do so much at one time because she never hesitated in getting up to do anything that needed doing right now. She liked playing tennis in three leagues at a time but especially loved taking lessons and improving her game. She liked working on projects, painting in all media, doing stained glass projects, teaching and doing crafts for the kids in Awana and Sunday school, taking thousands of pictures at every event she attended—all while taking care of home and doing all the yard work so Pete could be with the family on weekends. The only time you might have seen a puff of pride in her life was when she would get the “yard of the month award”.
Jackie has always given her time and talents to her local church. She had a passion for women of the church and started or restarted the Women’s Ministry at her churches in Spring, Tulsa, Conroe, and was helping with the with the Women’s Ministry, Senior groups and as volunteer receptionist at Faith Bible Church in The Woodlands, Texas.
As helpmate, confidant, lover, and friend to her husband in his career. She would fit in any situation from shop floor to executive suite, from BBQ lunch to Board of Director dinners, with her smile and caring presence for all, she was a big part of “their” career. She has travelled to all six continents and many countries in business and during their retirement.
Daughter Kristen, Son Ken, Grandchildren Alissa, Zachary, Evan, Tyler and Hannah, you were the receivers of her vast love, and you filled a large part of her constant prayer. Rest in the fact that you brought the greatest of joy to her life. She felt her quiver was full.
Jackie lived her entire life with a big smile, warm countenance, sharing a humble heart with everyone she met. If she met you twice, you were her friend.
She is survived by Husband Pete, Daughter Kristen Gartner and husband Richard, Son Ken Samoff and wife Tammy, Granddaughter Alissa Weatherstone and husband Billy Ray, Grandson Zachary Gartner and wife Aubrey, Grandson Evan Samoff and wife Shelby, Grandson Tyler Gartner, Granddaughter Hannah Gartner, and two Great Grandchildren, Harper and Colton Weatherstone and many other loved family members.
Rest with the Lord Dearest Jackie.
