Jim was born on July 29, 1949 in Pasadena, Texas to the late Howard Lee Daugherty and Joyce (Gallien) Daugherty.
He was employed as a bricklayer for over 35 years and was a member of Bricklayers & Trowel Trades International and Bricklayers Gulf Coast Region.
Jim had a love of the outdoors, where he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and attending American Mountain Men Rendezvous. He was an exceptionally talented stone mason and woodworker and enjoyed making gifts for his loved ones. He lived in Staunton, Virginia for 25 years but returned to his home state of Texas in 2010.
Jim had a good sense of humor, a caring heart, and he loved his family deeply. He was baptized at The Cowboy Church in Montgomery Texas.
Jim is survived by his daughters, Kim Falco and husband Tim; Jami King and husband Nick; sister, Sandy Trotter and husband Charles, Jr.; Grandchildren Conner Peters and Sawyer King. Nephew Bryan Trotter and wife Kandy. Nephews Karson, Kandon and Niece Karly Trotter.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and niece Melissa Trotter.
