I served on the USS OKINAWA with Jim. He was a great young man and I'm sorry we lost track over the years. My  thoughts are with his family..., RIP Shipmate!

Words cannot express the sorrow that our family is feeling over the untimely loss our our Jim. He always had a smile, a joke or an encouraging word for me. He is probably really cracking them up in heaven now !!!

Jim was the brother I never had. We grew up together at GWA...skating parties, constant classroom pranks, class trips to his family's lake, riding dirt bikes.....a closeness that will never be forgotten. To know Jim was to love him. Jim and I served on the USS OKINAWA together. He was a great person with an awesome attitude . We had lots of good times together and visited many countries.. it seemed no matter what the situation he always had a smile on his face... Prayers to his family during this difficult time. I played little league football with Jim. As quarterback i mostly gave the ball to him. He could not be stopped. We called him crazy legs . He never bragged about his natural ability. A great man

I first met Jim in Georgia where I grew up. It was only fitting that I would have the honor to serve with him on the USS Okinawa!Jim was my closest friend for only about a year, yet he left his mark on my life! I have never and will never forget the things he taught me!
