James Patrick McCleary, age 19, passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 28, 2011, in The Woodlands, TX. James was born September 2, 1991 in Smithtown, NY and was a 2009 graduate of TWHS. James has left us all far too soon.
James can best be remembered for his generous heart, sense of humor, love of the beach and annual river tubing excursions with his family; but first and foremost; his selfless heart. He was fortunate to possess this fine quality early in his life and it served him well during his years in Little League baseball, alongside his coaching dad. He was fiercely protective of his family and unwaveringly loyal to his many friends. He will be so deeply and dearly missed.
James is survived by his heartbroken family, including parents Joseph and Robin McCleary; sister Kristin McCleary; brother Joseph and his wife Carmela McCleary; maternal grandmother, Grammie Haight, Uncles Sterling, Kevin, Jimmy and his wife Tracy; Aunt Eileen; cousins Kaitlyn, Kayla, Kelly, Rachel, Athena; nephews Andrew and Brody; and niece Devynn. James joins in heaven his paternal grandparents, Nana and Poppy McCleary and maternal grandfather, Grampa Haight.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., and the family will accept friends from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 2, 2011 with a Vigil service starting at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 3, 2011 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 7801 Bay Branch Dr., The Woodlands, TX 77382. Interment will follow in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
