James "Jim" D. Trageser

Jim was born on August 12, 1971, in Michigan City, Indiana. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Virginia Trageser; his four siblings, Shelly Newman (Bill), Kathy Trageser (Ron Harris), Beth Ann Haase (Doug), and Cindy Trageser; and his seven nieces and nephews, Courtney and Matthew Newman, Julian and Kingsley Harris, and Autumn, Ethan, and Nathan Haase. He was preceded in death by his father, James George Trageser.

After graduating from SUNY, Jim began earning his multiple HVAC licenses and certifications. Following several years working in the HVAC industry, he began a long and successful career in building maintenance. At the time of his passing, he was employed by Insite Realty as the Lead Building Engineer.

A beloved son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend and coworker, Jim enjoyed both his work and traveling with family and friends. Wherever his travels took him, he embraced opportunities to stay active and experience new adventures, including horseback riding, fishing, boating, sightseeing tours, and other outdoor activities. Jim was known for his generous spirit and unwavering willingness to help others. He would do anything for those he cared about and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In Lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in Jim’s honor be directed to Stroke Onward or a charity of your choice.

A memorial service will take place Friday June 26, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch Dr, The Woodlands, TX 77381. A catered reception will follow immediately after at the same location.
