

Javier “Javi” Solano, age 56, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. Javi was born in Laredo, Texas on August 5, 1964 to parents Guillermo and Elena Solano. After graduating in 1982 from J.W. Nixon Highschool, he then graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology. Javi was employed by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), formerly Cray Inc, where he worked as a Systems Support Engineer for the last 33.5 years.
Javi always saw the glass as “half full”; his infectious smile and positive personality, made everyone he knew, better human beings. He was a proud man..proud of his family and his career. He loved spending time with his loved ones, watching football and his favorite TV shows, (Gilligan’s Island and Leave it to Beaver) listening to rock music and riding his Harley. Javi never met a stranger and was a “friend to all”.
He is survived by his wife, Karen M. Solano of Spring, Texas and his sons, Javier “Javi” Solano Jr, and Gabriel Solano, both of Spring, Texas; his Mother, Elena Solano of Laredo, Texas; older brother, Guillermo Solano III, and wife Rosemary of Dallas, Texas; niece Alex Solano of Houston, Texas, niece and husband Kayla and Kyle Hessler and their son, Kyle Jr “KJ” Solano; younger brother Rick Solano and wife Monica of Seguin, Texas; nephews Rick Jr “RJ” Solano, Jacob Solano, Isaac Solano, and niece Janessa Solano, numerous loved ones in Laredo and Nuevo Laredo and throughout Mexico. Javi is preceded in death by his father, Guillermo Solano Jr of Laredo, Texas.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 23 from 4-7 pm, with a rosary at 6 pm. Javi’s Celebration of Life will take place at 10 am, on Saturday, April 24. Celebration of Life will be live streamed via a link off obituary; please note link will not be available until service begins.
