She was born January 17, 1942, in Latrobe, PA to Andrew and Verna Basalla. She graduated from Bald Eagle Area High School in 1960 and moved to Williamsport, PA where she met her husband of 48 years, Jack William Chapman.
Jeanne was a strong, active woman and devoted much of her time and energy to helping friends and family. She was an active member of Sts. Simon & Jude Catholic Church and loved spending time in and caring for her garden.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, Jack, her sisters Janet Oesterling and Carol Little, her brother Andrew Basalla, Jr.; daughters Annette Copeland, Jacqueline Powell and Nadine Hogan and their husbands George, Daniel and Erin as well as 8 grandchildren; Grant, Ansa, Phoebe, Griffin, Faith, Nolan, Meredith and Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her father Andrew Basalla and mother Verna Basalla.
A viewing for family and friends will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20, with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 21, at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 26777 Glen Loch Drive, The Woodlands, TX. Rite of committal to follow in Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
Donations in her honor may be sent to St. Vincent de Paul through Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church.
