He was born in Harrold, Texas on September 16, 1939.
Don graduated from Electra High School and attended Midwestern State University.
He was married to Wanda Rains on May 3, 1963.
Don worked in the oil and gas field for Texaco, Inc. He had a passion for music, gardening, and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Wilson, his children; Terry Wilson wife Melinda Wilson, Melissa Wilson Cook and husband David Cook, grandchildren; Alex Wilson, Alexa Wilson, Zachary Cook, Caleb Cook, Sheridan Wilson, great-grandchild; Bransen Lane Wilson, sister; Glenda Harris of Wylie, TX, brothers; Freddie Wilson of Gainesville, TX, Larry Wilson of Oklahoma and Ronnie Wilson of Haslet, TX.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10a.m., March 11, 2017, at Forest Park The Woodlands.
