Jo is survived by her loving children, Carol Oddo (Kim Broderick), Christopher Oddo (Margaret Oddo), and Angela Hay (William Hay), as well as her devoted sister, Mary Ann Bonnacolta (Joel Deleon). She was preceded in death by her sons, Stephen J. Oddo and David B. Oddo, and her brother, Louis Bonnacolta. She was an adoring grandmother to six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Jo married Jerome B. Oddo on January 13, 1959, and later married James W. McCullough on September 30, 2002.
After raising her children, Jo made a courageous move to Midland, TX to work for Mobil Oil. She was a hardworking and dependable employee who took pride in doing her job well. Her dedication and commitment earned her greater responsibilities throughout her 10-year tenure as an Accounts Payable Specialist. After retirement, she spent a short time living in Spring, TX, before moving to Wimberley to be closer to some of her grandchildren. She embraced the lifestyle of the hill country’s community and good music. In 2025 she moved back to Spring, TX and enjoyed time with her granddaughters and great grandchildren.
Jo was always smiling and brought joy and warmth to everyone she met. She loved, cooking, hosting Bible studies, attending retreats, and honoring her strong Italian roots. After earning several ministry certifications, she served her communities as a grief counselor, spiritual adviser, and hospital chaplain. Jo also lived in Wimberley to be closer to some of her grandchildren and recently moved back to Spring, Texas.
Special thanks go to all her friends, family members, and caregivers who cherished her as “a light and always positive,” as well as Spring Creek Village and all the clergy and spiritual directors who helped her maintain her faith throughout her life.
Visitation begins at 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2026 at Forest Park Funeral Chapel, 18000 I-45, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
The Rosary and Prayer Vigil will begin at 6:00 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church,

The Rite of Committal will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St., Houston, TX 77023.
