Kermit High School and attended North Texas University, where he met his beloved wife Patricia Ann Shaper on a Valentine’s Day blind date. With determination and a keen mind, he founded John
Gandy Corporation, Gandytec LLC, and TorqueLock Corporation with his wife Patricia and daughter Jaycie. The latter specializes in the development of new technology and more than 23 patents for
the oil and gas industry. Many of these patents are licensed to major companies that are dedicated to servicing oil and gas companies worldwide.
While John’s professional accomplishments were significant, his heart was equally devoted to helping others. He spent many years working with organizations that support individuals with
special needs, giving his time, resources, and encouragement to ensure others had opportunities to thrive. His kindness and quiet generosity made a lasting impact on countless lives.
Outside of work and service, John’s true sanctuary was M7 ranch. There, beneath the wide-open skies, he found peace and purpose. Whether feeding the fish, photographing the deer, or watching
the sunset stretch across the horizon, the ranch was where he felt most at home. It was also where he created lasting memories with family and friends – sharing stories and passing down the values
he lived by.
