From Germany, he was sent to Abilene, TX Dyess AFB where he was signed to maintenance record keeping for the B52 bomber and the KC 135 transport. Z Jet was a holding company for several companies, one of which was EZ Serve. He was introduced to the President of EZ Serve, and his career working with oil & gas marketing began. His career ended working for FuelQuest, Inc. in Houston, TX.
John was active in several church ministries, including youth group, Eucharistic ministry, fundraisers, catechism instructor, and Knights of Columbus.
John has a passion for Alaska salmon fishing. As often as he could, he would visit Alaska and fish on the Kenai. It was one of the most peaceful places on earth. He was also very passionate about helping others. He would mentor younger people at work and enjoyed their spark. At work, he was always willing to share his knowledge with others. They appreciated his experience and the time he would spend with them. He loved learning about history in any of the places he visited.
